Time seems to move faster and faster with each passing year.
I am still deeply processing the fact that Lucas is in his own home and I expect that this grief will last for awhile as I learn how to deregulate my nervous system from that of living at high alert to something that resembles more peace and joy.
It’s definitely been a journey. We visit Luke often and still enjoy park days as a family where he requests to “go whee!”
This month I want to share some services that I’ve carefully created to provide tangible support to parent caregivers. In my personal journey I’ve discovered that support groups are great and all, but eventually we need to stop talking and start doing if we’re going to change our lives for the better. We need to turn around and face our storm like the Bison do.
